Greeting cards are the flagship expression of our studio and the foundation for much of what we create. Giving a handcrafted greeting card is a small act that creates meaningful impact.

Dimensional Greeting Cards

Original Artwork

Our greeting cards begin with our original artwork, designed specifically to exist as dimensional paper art.

Whether sketched by hand or developed digitally, she transforms each design into precision-cut paper elements that are layered and assembled by hand to create depth, texture, and dimension.

Made by Hand

Each card begins as a blank piece of paper. Here in our studio, we add the Mainely Cards imprint and build the dimensional artwork piece by piece, cutting, weeding, layering, adjusting, gluing, and refining each element by hand.

Made to Last

We use professional-grade materials throughout the process, including heavyweight matte white cardstock, acid-free and lignin-free layering papers, premium no-shed glitter paper, and archival-quality adhesive. Each card is built to maintain its color, structure, and dimensional detail over time.

Pride in Our Craft

Before a card leaves our studio, we inspect its alignment, proportion, construction, and finishing details. Every element matters, from the way the layers come together to how the finished card feels in your hand. Only cards that meet our high standards are added to the shop.

Every Detail Matters

Each approved card is paired with a heavyweight pointed-flap white envelope we've embossed with the Mainely Cards seal. Individual cards are packaged in protective sleeves, and boxed card sets are carefully arranged with tissue between each card to help protect the dimensional artwork.

Made to Keep

The finished card is more than something to send. Each card bears the artist’s maker’s mark, identifying it as an original piece of Mainely Cards paper art. The dimensional artwork can be left on display, kept as a reminder of the person who sent it, or framed and enjoyed long after the occasion.

We believe the most important part of a greeting card is the message inside.

That's why every card is left blank. We think of the inside as a canvas for your words. Our artwork sets the tone; the message inside is yours to write.

Knowing one of our cards will soon hold someone else's words and become part of a moment between people is one of our favorite things about making them.

We love a good pun. There’s a tiny bit of magic in the moment when a familiar word or phrase suddenly means something else and the joke clicks into place. Whether it earns a laugh, a groan, or an eye roll, we consider them all successful outcomes.

Wordplay is woven throughout Mainely Cards, starting with our name. We even gave puns their own category, Pun Intended, although they have a habit of turning up in plenty of our other designs, too.
