Hi there. We’re Michael and Shannon Cyr, founders of Mainely Cards LLC.
We’re a Maine-based greeting card studio creating original handmade cards designed to carry your message. Our artwork sets the tone. The words come from you.

Choosing, writing, and sending a handcrafted card is a simple and powerful way to reach out and remind someone they matter. ​

Each Mainely Card begins with a clear purpose: to support a real moment of connection — a celebration, a check‑in, a thank‑you, or just because. Our cards make it easy to act on these moments and stay connected to the people in your life.
Connection is at the center of everything we do, and we think carefully about the moment each card is created to support. ​Shannon is the visual storyteller and illustrator behind Mainely Cards, shaping each card design by cutting, assembling, and layering paper by hand. Michael brings a trained artistic eye to color, composition, and form, helping bring each design to completion.
Together, we refine each card until it feels worthy of sending and keeping.

Handcrafted in Maine
Every Mainely Card is handcrafted in our Southern Maine studio, one piece of paper at a time. Designs begin as an original illustration and are brought to life using cut paper pieces, carefully assembled and glued by hand.​

We care deeply about how every card looks, how it feels in your hand, and the moment it creates before it’s opened. Each card is inspected before it leaves our studio—we pay close attention to alignment, proportion, and the small details that make a card ready to be shared.

The Maine Thing
Our Maine card collection is inspired by the place we call home. We celebrate the familiar symbols of Maine’s landscape and way of life — pine trees, lobsters, lighthouses, blueberries — each one crafted in paper to honor the natural beauty and everyday magic of this place.

Giving Back Through Wicked Good Cards
In addition to Mainely Cards, we founded and personally fund Wicked Good Cards, a Maine-based 501(c)(3) public charity. A portion of Mainely Cards proceeds supports the creation and donation of handmade cards to hospice centers, hospitals, shelters, and other care communities in Maine.
