A Simple Belief
We believe small acts of kindness make a meaningful difference. One of our favorites is giving someone a handcrafted greeting card.
A greeting card tells someone they are being thought of, that they matter. Cards give us a place to put into words things we don't always say, like how much another person means to us, how proud we are of them, how grateful we are, that we miss them, or that we're thinking of them during a difficult time.
For many people, giving a greeting card is a simple way to reach out and connect with someone. For others, it isn't so simple.
Buying a greeting card can become difficult when illness, mobility challenges, financial strain, or other circumstances get in the way. In care settings, going to a store simply isn’t possible. But people still have moments to celebrate, gratitude to express, encouragement to offer, and messages they want to share.
So, we set out to make sure people in care communities have free access to handmade greeting cards they can give to someone they care about.
Made for Good
Wicked Good Cards
In 2025, we founded Wicked Good Cards™, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that makes handmade greeting cards available at no cost within care communities. Donated cards are placed in nonprofit organizations such as hospice centers, shelters, and hospitals, where patients, residents, family members, volunteers, caregivers, and staff can choose a card, write their own message, and send it to someone they care about.
Mainely Cards LLC
In 2026, we created Mainely Cards, a paper art studio in Southern Maine creating dimensional greeting cards, card making kits, and original experiences delivered through the mail. We founded the studio to create a sustainable way to support the mission.
How the Studio Fuels the Nonprofit
Mission Funding
A portion of every Mainely Cards shop purchase helps fund the ongoing operations of Wicked Good Cards.
Made to Give
Made to Give is our greeting card donation program. Qualifying Mainely Cards purchases generate one donated card with purchase.
Monthly Donations
Mainely Cards donates a minimum of 20 handcrafted greeting cards each month. These studio donations are in addition to cards donated through the Made to Give program.
