A dimensional, handcrafted greeting card made from paper and glue. And a little ink.
Created from our original design, the Three Songbirds card transforms a trio of cheerful birds into dimensional paper art you can hold.
The three songbirds and musical notes are created from individually cut and layered pieces of paper. We leave the card blank inside because the most important part of a greeting card is the message it carries. Our artwork sets the tone; the message inside is yours.
Whether you're offering encouragement, sending a little love, or simply saying hello, sending a Three Songbirds greeting card is a cheerful way to brighten their day.
🎨 Original Paper Art
The songbird artwork you see on this card is our original design, created specifically to exist as a dimensional paper art greeting card.
Each bird begins with an orange foil paper silhouette that forms the beak and feet. Individually cut light blue and navy blue paper layers create the body and belly, with shimmering light blue glitter paper wings layered over the body for added dimension and sparkle. Tiny pieces of black cardstock form each eye. Individually cut black cardstock musical notes drift above the trio.
The words “This Is a Message for You” are added with a robotic pen using fine-point black ink on heavyweight white cardstock. The white cardstock is layered over a precision-cut navy blue cardstock backing, creating a dimensional plaque that frames the message beneath the songbirds.
Each piece of paper is precision-cut, positioned, layered, and glued by hand in our Southern Maine studio. The artist who makes your card subtly adds their initials below the Mainely Cards imprint on the back before the piece leaves the studio. Because each Three Songbirds card is individually made, subtle variations in alignment, paper texture, and finish are part of the handcrafted nature of our work.
No two finished cards are exactly alike.
