A dimensional, handcrafted greeting card made from layered paper and glue. And a little ink.

Meet Lucky, our original green paper lobster with one very important job: delivering wishes for good luck through the mail. Here in Maine, legend has it that if a green paper lobster turns up in your mailbox, you're considered wicked lucky.

Lucky begins with a reflective green foil silhouette that creates his long antennae and slender legs and forms the foundation beneath his body. Emerald green glitter paper pieces are precision-cut by machine, then arranged freehand and individually glued by hand over the foil to build his raised claws, body, shell segments, and tail fan. The freehand placement leaves narrow lines of reflective green foil visible between the pieces, defining his segmented shell. Two tiny matte black paper eyes complete Lucky and give him just a hint of personality.

Beneath Lucky, a paper plaque declares the recipient Wicked Lucky. A robotic pen writes the words in fine-point black ink on heavyweight white paper. Shimmering gold glitter paper, inspired by the legendary pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, frames the message.

Send a little luck someone’s way this St. Patrick’s Day! The card is blank inside, offering plenty of space to add your own well wishes.
