A dimensional, handcrafted greeting card made from layered paper and glue.
Strawberry cake has everything going for it: delightfully sweet and slightly sour flavor, layers of creamy frosting, and, best of all, plenty of pink. Our original Strawberry Splendor Birthday Cake celebrates this fruit-filled favorite in three shades of pink cardstock, creating a pretty paper birthday cake perfect for anyone who makes every day a little bit sweeter.
Sparkling bright pink no-mess glitter paper spells out Happy Birthday! in large, flowing lettering across the top of the card.
The Strawberry Splendor cake slice is created from individual pieces of paper, precision-cut by machine, then positioned, layered, and glued by hand. Hot pink paper fondant wraps around the outside of the slice. Inside, pale pink paper becomes a strawberry chiffon cake layer, sparkling deep pink paper creates a jammy strawberry preserves center, and soft pink paper becomes a strawberries-and-cream cake layer. Cream paper creates layers of vanilla cream cheese frosting between them, and a dollop of sparkling white paper whipped cream adds the final touch.
This fanciful pink cake slice is served on a sparkling white paper plate edged in reflective gold foil atop a sparkling silver paper platter.
A sparkling birthday candle tops the cake, its tiny flame inspired by the colors of a real candle flame. Three precisely cut paper layers create the glow from the inside out: blue foil at the center, orange foil surrounding it, and sparkling orange glitter paper forming the outer flame. Shimmering copper glitter paper forms the candle body and wick.
Serve up a slice of Strawberry Splendor paper cake for their birthday. The card is blank inside, ready for your birthday wishes.
