Every MainelyYours order begins with one of our flagship blank-inside Mainely Cards greeting cards. These are the same handcrafted, dimensional greeting cards available in our shop, created from our original artwork and made from professional-grade paper and archival-quality materials.For MainelyYours, we make your selected greeting card to order, then personalize it with your message and recipient’s name before preparing and mailing it from our studio in Southern Maine.

Are the greeting cards really one-of-a-kind?

Yes. Every greeting card is a unique piece of dimensional paper art.Each card begins with our original artwork, designed specifically to exist as dimensional paper art. We precision-cut the individual paper elements, then layer, assemble, and glue them by hand, creating natural variations that make every finished card unique.Then we make it personal. Your words are written inside the card in your selected lettering style, and your recipient’s name is incorporated into the Mainely Cards imprint on the back. The artist then initials the finished piece by hand.Original artwork. Handcrafted to order. Personalized for one person. No two finished greeting cards are the same.

Who makes my made-to-order greeting card?

Your greeting card is handcrafted to order by Shannon or Michael Cyr, the artists and co-founders of Mainely Cards. We create and handcraft our paper art greeting cards in our Southern Maine studio, cutting, layering, assembling, and gluing the individual paper elements by hand.We also personalize your card with your message and recipient’s name, inspect the finished piece, and add the artist’s initials by hand before preparing it for mailing.

Where do you make the cards?

Every made-to-order greeting card is proudly handcrafted in Maine at our Southern Maine studio. From cutting and assembling the dimensional paper artwork to adding your message, personalizing the card for your recipient, and preparing it for mailing, the entire process happens here at Mainely Cards.Once your card is finished and inspected, we personally bring it to the post office to begin its journey from Maine to your recipient.

How is my message written inside the card?

Your message is written directly onto the card with a real pen using fine-point black ink. A precision writing machine guides the pen in the lettering style you select, giving your message the natural variation and character of ink on paper.We carefully position your message inside the card so your words become part of the finished piece.

Question 8

When should I place my order?

Accepted Answer

MainelyYours cards are mailed every Friday. Orders placed Monday or Tuesday will be mailed that Friday. Orders placed Wednesday through Sunday will be mailed the following Friday.Once your card is mailed, its delivery date is determined by USPS and cannot be guaranteed.

Can I change my order after I place it?

Once your order is placed, changes cannot be made. Each greeting card is handcrafted to order using the names, message, lettering style, and mailing information you provide, so please review your selections and information carefully before completing your order.

Will my card look exactly like the one shown in the shop?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a little room for real life. Your card will be handcrafted using the same design, colors, and papers shown in the shop product photos. Colors can appear slightly different from one screen to another, and some of our dimensional, shimmering, and glitter papers are much better at showing off in person. Because each card is individually assembled and glued by hand, slight variations are also a natural part of the handcrafted process.

Can I request changes to the artwork on my card?

Not at this time. Each made-to-order greeting card is handcrafted from the original design, colors, and papers shown in the shop, so the artwork itself cannot be changed or customized. Your card becomes one-of-a-kind through your personal message and your recipient’s name, which is incorporated into the finished piece.

Can I purchase the card without personalization?

Absolutely! MainelyYours is our made-to-order personalization and mailing service for select Mainely Cards greeting cards. If you want to personalize the card yourself, you can purchase the same handcrafted design blank inside from our paper art greeting card collection and write your own message.

Can I choose when my card is mailed?

Accepted Answer

MainelyYours cards are mailed every Friday, so individual mailing dates cannot be selected. Orders placed Monday or Tuesday will be mailed that Friday. Orders placed Wednesday through Sunday will be mailed the following Friday.If you prefer to have your card shipped with tracking instead, you can select USPS Ground Advantage at checkout.

Can you guarantee when my card will arrive?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific arrival date. Once we personally bring your card to the post office on Friday, delivery timing is determined by USPS.

What mailing is included with MainelyYours?

Accepted Answer

Every MainelyYours card includes mailing through USPS First-Class Mail at no additional charge. We place your finished card inside its embossed envelope, hand-address it with your recipient’s mailing information and your return address, add the required postage, and personally bring it to the post office.

Why does my card use special postage?

Accepted Answer

MainelyYours cards are dimensional, so they cannot safely travel through the high-speed sorting machines used for standard letters. We use special postage that allows your card to be handled separately and helps protect its dimensional paper art as it travels through the mail.The United States Postal Service calls this type of mail “nonmachinable,” and the postage is provided by a Butterfly Stamp.

Can I track my card?

Standard USPS First-Class Mail included with MainelyYours does not include tracking.If you would like tracking, choose USPS Ground Advantage at checkout. We place your card and envelope inside a protective sleeve and package them securely in a bubble mailer for tracked shipping.

Can I send more than one MainelyYours card?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can order multiple MainelyYours cards, including cards for different recipients.
