White Dove with Olive Branch | Sympathy Card
A white dove carrying an olive branch is one of the most widely recognized symbols of peace and remembrance.
When creating this sympathy card, we wanted to start with a symbol that could offer comfort across beliefs and traditions. The white dove felt like a natural choice. We were drawn to the graceful shape of a dove in flight and the uplifting feeling it creates. The design was intentionally kept simple, allowing the symbolism of the bird and the significance of the moment to remain at the forefront.
To create the card, we selected shimmering white glitter cardstock for the dove, allowing the layered wings and body to stand out while blending softly into the white card base. Light green glitter cardstock forms the olive branch, black glitter cardstock defines the eye and “With Sympathy” sentiment, and orange glitter cardstock creates the beak.
The result is a gentle way to offer comfort during difficult times.
