Thank You Beary Much | Thank You Card Set
The inspiration for this design came naturally. Maine is home to an estimated 35,000 black bears, making the animals a familiar part of the state’s wildlife. Once we started talking about black bears, a “Thank You Beary Much” card felt inevitable.
Black bears are often described as intelligent, cautious, and shy, tending to avoid conflict rather than seek it out. We liked the idea of taking such a powerful animal and highlighting its gentle side. As the expression and details came together, the bear gradually transformed into a character who would absolutely take the time to write a thank-you note.
To create the card, we selected thick black matte cardstock for the bear's body and tan cardstock for his muzzle and inner ears. Simple round eyes and a soft expression help bring the character to life. Fine-point black ink creates the “Thank You Beary Much” sentiment, giving it the look of a handwritten note.
The result is a note of appreciation wrapped inside a bear hug.
