Looking Sharp Cactus | Pun Intended Card
Maine probably isn't the first place that comes to mind when you think of a desert, but we do have one. The Desert of Maine is a geological oddity made of glacial silt and sand, surrounded by dense pine forest instead of towering cacti and tumbleweeds.
Learning about the Desert of Maine gave the design its starting point. A saguaro cactus would never survive a Maine winter, which somehow made it even funnier to imagine one relocating to Maine’s desert. Once we gave him a top hat, we discovered a fancy little cactus who is right at home with the pines.
To create the card, we selected sparkling green glitter cardstock for the cactus and a black glitter top hat finished with a metallic gold band for maximum overdressed charm. Flowing purple glitter script lettering creates the “Looking Sharp” pun.
The result is a wicked smart way to send a smile.
